Voice Mail

Brandenburg Telephone Company’s new voice mail system has exciting new features and packages that customers can now choose from. These features include being able to receive voicemail messages as emails which give you the ability to listen to these messages on your computer. The new features and packages are listed below:

Benefits of Voice Mail

  • You do not have to purchase or maintain an answering machine system.
  • Voice Mail system combined with Call Forward Busy feature will answer incoming calls even if your phone is busy.
  • Your phone number is your 10 digit access number.
  • You choose your own 4-16 digit password.

Bronze Package

  • $5 per month - 10 minutes*
  • $6 per month - 20 minutes*
  • $7 per month - 30 minutes*
  • Additional charge for Call Forward Busy feature

Silver Package

  • $7.50 per month - 10 minutes*
  • $8.50 per month - 20 minutes*
  • $9.50 per month - 30 minutes*
  • Additional charge for Call Forward Busy feature

Gold Package

  • $10 per month - 10 minutes*
  • $11 per month - 20 minutes*
  • $12 per month - 30 minutes*
  • Additional charge for Call Forward Busy feature

Platinum Packages

  • $20 per month - 30 minutes Up to 4 lines*
  • $2 additional per month for each additional line
  • Additional charge for Call Forward Busy feature

* Deleting messages will reset your time.

Call Answering

After Voice Mail is activated, Dial 396-1000, 547-1000, 877-1000 or 982-1000 (pick the number local to you) to set your password and record your greeting. This initial call must be made from your line.

After assigning your password, you will be able to change your greeting, retrieve your messages or change your password from any touch tone phone by dialing either of the above access numbers.

To retrieve messages from a remote location, dial the appropriate access number local to your calling area. Enter the 10 digit mailbox number followed by the PIN.

You have new voice mail messages when you hear a "stuttered dial tone". To retrieve your unplayed messages, dial *98. *98 can only be dialed from the number that the voice mail is on. To retrieve messages from another phone you must dial one of the access numbers. If you want to retrieve previously saved messages, dial the access number and follow the prompts.

Voice mail can be turned ON/OFF. To turn ON dial: *92
To turn OFF dial: *93

Email Notifications

This features allows you to be notified via email when you receive a new voice mail message.

You can listen to your messages, save and delete them.

Sub Mailbox

This feature allows you additional mailbox(s) for family members/co-worker etc.

Requires users to record a new greeeting.

Email notifications can be utilized for each sub mailbox.

Phone central will not work with sub mailboxes.

Associate Additional Phone Number

Users can associate an additional phone number to their mailbox allowing them to check messages remotely without having to enter their 10 digit mailbox number and pin. (work number, cellular number, etc.)

Phone Central

Internet access for users to log into their mailbox. (requires installation of software on your PC)
Retrieve and listen to voice mail messages from your PC.

Change notification settings. (email setting and pager settings)

Edit out-calling numbers "dial 0" numbers.

Edit distribution list.

Download Phone Central

Reply

Return phone calls by pressing one button after listening to a message.

You can only return phone calls local to your calling area.

Send Message / Forward Message / Distribution Lists

Send and forward messages to other Brandenburg Telephone Company voice mail subscribers.

Set up distribution list to receive these messages. Distribution lists can be created through Phone Central.

Auto Forward Messages

Forward ALL your messages to another Brandenburg Telephone Co. subscriber voice mailbox.

This must be set up by a customer service representative.

Remote Notification

You can be notified via pager, cellular phone, etc that you have a new voice mail message.

This feature can be activated or deactivated through Phone Central.

Daily Notifications / Schedules

You can be notified of new voice mail messages each day and schedule the time of day the notifications are sent.

Daily Schedules / Special Events / Specific Caller

You can play different greetings at different times of the day, specific dates or to specific callers.


Outdial

Gives your callers the option of leaving a message or connecting to you at another number such as your cellular phone, work phone, etc.

This feature can be programmed through Phone Central.
