Web Design by Shadara I have been breeding and exhibiting Miniature Pinschers for 30 years.  I breed for soundness with breed “type” and for superb temperaments and of course the “hackney like gait” the breed is known for. I do not breed dilutes.  Dilute colors are: blue, fawn, tan, harlequin and brindle.  There are good reasons they are not allowed in our AKC breed standard, mainly “color mutant alopecia” in the blues and isabella fawns which will not show up for several years but eventually you are likely to have a bald dog that “may” need veterinary care from then on for skin problems besides being unsightly.  The harlequins had a “deafness” gene attached to it, so it was dropped from the standard.  The brindles are not even purebred, another breed was introduced to get it.  Beware of any breed offering “teacup size”.  A lot of problems can come along with such a small dog, mostly orthopedic in nature.  Please do your homework before falling for fads. I have bred over 50 Champions including Award of Merit and Specialty Winners.  Shadowmist dogs are also obedience, rally, and agility titleholders.
