own behalf before King Agrippa (Acts 2:6). Continue to the lovely bay
city of Haifa and the beautiful, wooded range of Mt. Carmel, the
place Elijah chose for the great contest with the prophets of Baal (I
Kings 18:19-39). Then, to Nazareth to visit the Church of the
Annunciation, the synagogue where Jesus stood and read from the book
of Isaiah (Luke 4:16-30), Joseph's workshop, and Mary's fountain.
Next stop is Megiddo, where it is believed the battle of Armageddon
will take place (Revelation 16:13-16). Just off the road to Tiberias
is Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle (John 2:1-11). On to
our hotel in Tiberias, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, for dinner

worship service at the church of our choice. Then taxi to the top of
Mt. Tabor, traditional site of the Transfiguration of Christ.

East, located at the foot of Mt. Gilboa. Saul and Jonathan were slain
and fastened to the walls here
(1 Samuel 31:8-13). Continue
through the Jordan Valley, traveling the same journey Jesus did.

of Israel made the walls come tumbling down (Joshua 6), and a stop at
Elisha's Spring. On up to the Holy City of Jerusalem via the Roman
Road for dinner & overnight.

Day 7 - JERUSALEM (OLD
CITY)/GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE/MT. OF OLIVES/BETHANY
Our day begins with a visit to
the Garden of Gethsemane and walk the path, following the footsteps
of Jesus, to the Mt. of Olives (Mark 11:1). Christ's ascension from
the Mt. of Olives must have been close to Bethany (Luke 24:50,51), a
village where Lazarus, Mary, and Martha resided (John 11:1), as well
as Simon the leper (Mark 14:3). Visit the remains of the House of
Caiaphas, where Peter denied Christ (Matthew 26:34,69-75), and where
Jesus was brought by soldiers from the Garden, spending His last
night there (Matthew 26:57;27:1), visit the Church of the Ascension,
and then return to Jerusalem along the path Jesus took riding the
donkey on Palm Sunday (Mark 11:1-11). This afternoon enjoy a walking
tour of the Old City of Jerusalem by entering through St. Stephen's
Gate and on to the Pool of Bethesda, see the Ecce Homo Arch (Behold
the Man) and travel the Via Dolorosa--way of the cross, continue to
the temple area of Mt. Moriah, see the Dome of the Rock, the El Agsa
Mosque, the Eastern Gate (Golden Gate), the stables of Solomon, the
Wailing Wall, the new temple area and excavations from the time of
Jesus (if possible), walk through the old bazaars to the Church of
the Holy Sepulchre, and view the Tower of David and Citadel as we
leave the City through the Joppa Gate; remainder of day on our own.
Return to hotel for dinner & overnight.
Day 8 - JERUSALEM--FREE
A full day to explore Jerusalem
on our own. Return to hotel for our last overnight in Israel; enjoy
our farewell dinner this evening, last opportunity to fellowship and
say good-bye to our many new friends.

CITY)/GARDEN TOMB/GOLGOTHA/TEL AVIV-JOPPA

Holocaust, the model city of Jerusalem during the Second Temple's
period, the Knesset--Israel's Parliament, the Israel Museum, the
Shrine of the Book which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, Mount Zion, the
traditional Tomb of King David, the Dormitian Abbey, and the Upper
Room of the Last Supper. Continue by coach to the Garden Tomb and Golgotha--place
of the skull, where a Communion service will be held, for those
desiring. Continue to Tel Aviv via Emmaus, where Jesus appeared to
the two after His resurrection (Luke 24:13-35). Just south of Tel
Aviv visit the ancient Canaanite port of Jaffa (now Joppa), where
Jonah boarded a ship for Tarshish, and where Tabitha rose from the
dead (Acts 9:36-42). We will dine at a restaurant in the Tel Aviv
area, then head for the airport to board our late flight back home.
